We are seeking to appoint a teacher to provide maternity cover for a member of our KS1 team, start date of 1st September 2026.  The successful candidate will have recent experience of teaching Key Stage 1.  

 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • communicates with skill, confidence and authenticity; with children and adults alike; 
  • can teach phonics effectively; 
  • is passionate about values-based education and developing all-round, lifelong learners; 
  • is committed to developing their inquiry-based learning practice and is able to co-construct excellent learning experiences with children; 
  • scaffolds learning to support and challenge all pupils. 
  • has a contagious enthusiasm for learning and has practice which engages children by stimulating their imagination and curiosity; 
  • is highly resilient and demonstrates a proactive, solution-focussed approach to personal and professional development; 
  • can work effectively as part of a year group team; 
  • is committed to upholding every child’s right to be included, accepted, and valued for their strengths and contributions; 
  • brings a strong work ethic, proven team-working skills and an excellent sense of humour to our vibrant school community; 
  • At least 1-years recent experience of working effectively as a teacher in Early Years and / or Key Stage 1. 
  • Willingness to take on subject leadership role straight away. 
  • Has QTS status.
