St Paul’s is a friendly and forward thinking school. We are an established primary academy within the growing Good Shepherd Trust and are rated as "Outstanding" in our Early Years provision and "Good" in all other areas by Ofsted in November 2022 and received an overall grade of "Excellent" in the SIAMS inspection in July 2023. Here at St. Paul’s we can offer you:

  • friendly children who welcome you into their lives.

  • high quality CPD within an experienced and committed team.
  • a two form entry school which enables planning teams of 2 class teachers in order to share insights and expertise.
  • supportive and dedicated colleagues.
  • a strong leadership team committed to driving the school forward with a clear vision and high expectations.

Applicants need to feel comfortable in supporting the distinct Christian ethos of our school.

Please take the opportunity to look at our website which will give you a flavour of our school. If you would like to visit the school, please do not hesitate to contact the school office to make an appointment.

Safeguarding Statement

The Good Shepherd Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We ensure that all our employment practices reflect this commitment.

The GST is a multi-academy trust serving 23 schools within the Diocese of Guildford across Surrey and Hampshire. Our trust comprises both primary and secondary schools, schools affiliated to the Church of England and others who are not. Our purpose is to grow and maintain a strong network of schools within a highly supportive and sharing network: we know that schools are better when they work together sharing common values and goals. Opportunities for staff development are a key priority for us - as a member of support staff, as a teacher, as a head teacher or as a local committee member you will have access to wide and varied professional development.

We are working hard to become a more diverse organisation – which is key to our commitment “to be better, together”. We welcome applications from everyone committed to this ethos and would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under-represented in the Group as a whole. We always appoint on merit. We are always open to discussing flexible working options.

Please note that we reserve the right to interview on application should a suitable candidate apply, and we have the right to withdraw this advert prior to the closing date. You are therefore strongly encouraged to apply for the role as soon as possible.

We expect all of our staff, pupils, parents, LGC members, Trust directors, visitors, contractors and third-party professionals to share this view.
