We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated teacher to join our passionate team.

This is an incredibly exciting time for Houghton Conquest. We are currently on a transformative journey as we transition from a lower school to a primary school from September 2026. This evolution represents a new chapter for our pupils and our community.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is a committed practitioner with high expectations of our children and of themselves.
  • Someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and has the ability and dedication to making a difference to children’s learning.
  • Someone who embodies our core values and fosters a positive, respectful classroom culture.
  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment and is a team player.
  • Someone who is professionally committed to their own development and the success of every pupil.
  • Someone who is able to work on their own initiative and manage and organise their time effectively.
  • Someone who can confidently communicate with parents, carers and class teachers to keep them informed of a child's progress.
Why join us?
  • To join a close-knit staff team where everyone’s voice is heard. All staff work together as a team and value each other’s strengths.
  • To be within a collaborative working environment with pupil and staff well-being as a priority.
  • To access tailored CPD and opportunities to lead or innovate within the curriculum.
  • To work in a values-based school.
  • To work in a school that values outdoor learning and community spirit.
