We are seeking a dedicated candidate to join our team as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher, working with a nurture group of pupils with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and co-occurring social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Due to the school’s expansion and relocation to Horringer, this is an exciting opportunity to join a developing provision.
The role involves delivering tailored lessons to small groups or individual learners, supporting their academic progress alongside their social, emotional, and personal development. Teaching within an SEMH environment can be challenging, but it is also highly rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
While experience in a special school is preferred, it is not essential. We welcome applications from teachers with a genuine interest in inclusive education and a commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
You will play an important role in developing individual learning plans and collaborating with families, external agencies, and colleagues to ensure each pupil’s needs are met. In addition to teaching responsibilities, you will contribute to the wider school community through planning activities, managing support staff within the classroom, and participating in ongoing school development initiatives as the provision continues to grow.
