What the school offers its staff
We are a ‘strongly good’ school where children are at the heart of
all that we do. We have a great team

that provision is personalised to meet children’s needs. Our curriculum is built on SMSC concepts and
philosophical enquiry and our core values of Love, Courage and Respect lie at

live our motto, ‘Be Ambitious, Be Brave, Be Kind’.
The key strengths of our school include:
- Delightful, well-manner children who love challenges and are keen to learn.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and very much encouraged – we would love to meet potential applicants to give a tour of the school and share what makes working at AJS so special.
Further details about the role
Due to one of our Year 3 teachers starting maternity leave just before Easter, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated teacher to join our friendly team.
There is some flexibility around the start date, with the possibility of this beginning before the maternity leave commences to allow the successful applicant to work closely with the current class teacher on handover and to get to know the children and school.
However, we appreciate that this may not be
possible for all candidates – it is very much desirable, but not at all
essential.
We reserve the right to withdraw the advert if the successful candidate applies before the closing date.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
childcare disqualification
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
medical
online and social media
prohibition from teaching
right to work
satisfactory references
suitability to work with children
You must tell us about any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
