What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governing Body are looking to appoint a KS2 Class Teacher with TLR Maths Lead to join our team as soon as possible.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious and enthusiastic maths lead who leads by example and can raise standards and develop teaching and learning in Maths across Hallam Primary School. The successful candidate will ensure that the aims of the school are effectively translated into high quality classroom practice.

The successful candidate will ensure that the aims of the school are effectively translated into high quality classroom practice. The candidate will lead in improving, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the following:
• Teaching and learning
• Pupils’ outcomes
• Curriculum planning and ensuring our maths curriculum is in line with our DREAMS curriculum
• Leading continuing professional development • Parental engagement
• Coach staff and be part of the strategic direction of the quality of education across the school.
• Promoting proven strategies and supporting colleagues, both on a 1-2-1 basis and in groups, to develop pedagogy and practice in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning with the specific aim of securing outstanding teaching and pupil outcomes. • Quality assurance of teaching and learning across the school
The successful candidate will lead by example through:
• High expectations
• Consistently strong classroom practice, being a role model for the school and beyond
• A stimulating learning environment
• An emphasis on every child achieving their full potential
The successful candidate will work with the Curriculum Leader on all aspects above and to respond
to school maths priorities as directed by the Headteacher. They will contribute to the overall
leadership of teaching and learning in Maths by being proactive in supporting an ethos that
recognises and celebrates success and promotes high expectations and aspirations. They will
represent Hallam and contribute to TSAT maths leaders’ meetings and be a visible presence around
the school.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of successful strategies for raising
achievement and sharing good practice. Evidence of leadership is desirable as is being a leader of
maths already, but not essential
