What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced KS2 teaching assistant to join our dedicated team. You will be required to support children but also be flexible within the school. Hours of work and requirements can be discussed further at interview. The required candidate should have;

  • A good level of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and flexible
  • Experience of working with primary school children
  • Very good communication skills
  • Be able to work as a member of a team and independently.
  • Ability to deal professionally and sensitively with children, parents, and colleagues as well as agencies when necessary.
  • The willingness to undergo CPD as appropriate

The Governors of St Patrick’s Primary School are seeking to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they can support the curriculum by using strategies to improve and sustain high standards of achievement, promoting, moral, social and good behaviour. Candidates must be able to use their initiative, be a team player and have a good sense of humour.
