What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated General Subjects Teacher who is enthusiastic about making adifference and helping young people with SEND overcome their barriers to learning. You will be a talented,enthusiastic and conscientious class teacher supporting KS3 pupils, with their academic, social, emotional,and personal development, in a way that is accessible and inclusive. You will develop and deliver engaging,differentiated lessons across various subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities) for students withSEND.

Castle Hill High School is a special school for students, aged 11 – 18, with significant and complex needs. We currently have 340 students on roll. Our most recent Ofsted inspection, judged the school to be Outstanding. All students enjoy equality of opportunity, regardless of gender, race, ability, social background etc. Our aim is to provide an education which is relevant and worthwhile, preparing our students for the world of work and ensuring that they leave us as caring young adults who have developed positive attitudes and values and are respectful of
others.

All students at Castle Hill have Education Health and Care Plans. Students’ specific needs include: communication and social interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.
