L 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)-Full Time (26.25 hours) job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our caring and supportive school. This post will be a full-time position to support the delivery of early reading, phonics and mathematics within small groups. In addition to this, the role will include working with pupils with SEND and covering whole classes across the school. A good knowledge of early reading, phonics and mathematics is preferred. The applicant will be required to work from Monday to Friday from 9.00am-3.15pm. The successful applicant will: • Have Higher level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status • Have at least 6 years relevant experience working in an educational setting • Have a good understanding of the National Curriculum • Be dedicated to support pupils with SEND • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and positive behaviour management • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team • Be innovative and resourceful • Have energy, enthusiasm and drive • Have a sense of humour and fun

We are a small school and nursery situated in the village of Woore on the Shropshire/Cheshire/Staffordshire border. We have 3 classes and a nursery. Our grounds are extensive and include a forest school area, daily mile track, polytunnel, outdoor building and a range of playground equipment. We take children from the surrounding area including Staffordshire and Cheshire.
