L2 Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint a qualified (min L3 TA qualification), experienced and highly motivated L2 Teaching Assistant to support students across KS3 & KS4 with a variety of needs including SEMH.
The successful candidate will work with small groups and one to one with students both in our Integrated Support area, in the wider academy and in the classroom with the aim of actively engaging students who have a vulnerability factor or Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities include:
- Work with an individual or small groups of students in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
- Work with individual pupils with special educational and SEMH needs
- Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities to pupils’ responses as appropriate
- May assist with the development of individual development plans for students
- Select, prepare and clear away classroom materials and learning areas ensuring they are available for use, including developing and presenting displays
- Arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the guidance of the teacher
- May invigilate exams and tests
- Supporting pupils emotional and social well-being
