The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and Dorset, are looking to recruit a temporary Nursery TA/Mealtime Assistant at Lady Seward's Primary School. Lady Seaward's is a small rural primary school set in the idyllic village of Clyst St George on the outskirts of Exeter, with easy access to the M5. The school provides a secure, nurturing and challenging learning environment with a family atmosphere, where the children come first and has an excellent partnership with parents/carers and the local community. We have a wonderful team of supportive staff in the school, too.
We are looking for an warm, caring enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the EYFS teacher in supporting a pupil in the class and will also include work as a Meal Time Assistant over the lunch break. The role will require you to:
- provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting.
- work as part of a team, alongside the EYFS teacher, in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
- build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met
The Nursery TA position will be for an hour a day, from either 11:00am or 1:00pm (time to be agreed at interview) and the Mealtime Assistant role is for an hour a day from 12:00pm-1:00pm per day. Under the direction of the Head of School, this involves the care for the safety and wellbeing of children during the lunchtime period. This is a fixed term position until 31st August 2025.
