Permanent role

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and dedicated Language and Learning Resource Lead to oversee the strategic development of our school library while also coordinating our provision for students with English as an Additional Language (EAL). This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a whole-school impact on literacy, inclusion, and learning.

Our library is central to the life of the school, and we are looking for someone with a passion for reading, language development, and educational equity. You will be responsible for the leadership and promotion of our library services, ensuring they are inclusive, inspiring, and fully aligned with curriculum needs. You will also play a vital role in supporting EAL students – assessing their language levels, coordinating support plans, tracking progress, and equipping staff with the knowledge and tools to support them in the classroom.

The successful candidate will be a highly organised and creative individual with a strong commitment to promoting reading, literacy, and inclusion. They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff across the school to ensure that students are well supported in both their academic and language development. A flexible and proactive approach is essential, as the role involves coordinating reading interventions, managing the library and digital resources, supporting students with EAL, delivering staff training, and occasionally providing first aid cover. Above all, the successful candidate will be passionate about helping every student thrive, regardless of their background or starting point.

We welcome applications from experienced professionals and those looking to build a career in education or library services. What matters most is a deep commitment to reading, learning, and ensuring that every student can succeed.

We are proud of the professional development we offer and our commitment to staff growth and wellbeing.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
