28.75 hours per week

Monday to Friday - 7.45am to 2.00pm

Term-time only - 39 weeks per year

Actual Annual Salary £18,913.19 (based on £14.75 per hour)

Gateway Central Services is seeking to appoint a Lead Chef to join our passionate and enthusiastic in-house catering team at Foundry Lane Primary School in producing high quality and healthy meals for breakfast, snack time, lunch and the occasional function.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years chef experience;
  • Be passionate about creating and serving delicious and nutritious meals to students, staff, and visitors;
  • Encourage and promote healthy eating habits and lifestyles;
  • Prepare various ingredients such as meats and vegetables;
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment;
  • Clean up and sanitise the kitchen area after cooking each meal and at the end of the shift;
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the Gateway Central Services;
  • Be enthusiastic about their own professional development and growth.
