Lead IT Technician job summary
This post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work with a committed team and the young people in our welcoming academy community. The successful candidate will join a highly dedicated support team working within a thriving, growing and ambitious academy with high aspirations and standards. This is a full time (37 hours per week) all year round position, open to any applicant with suitable skills and experience.

About you
You must have the technical knowledge along with a proactive mindset to be the senior IT team member on site for resolution of business-as-usual issues, responsible for using available resources to ensure IT service levels and standards are maintained in the academy. The role provides line management of junior IT staff within the academy, and from time to time will be required to support projects and service improvements, either in the academy or across the trust.
You will provide a comprehensive and effective technical support service to students and all staff at the academy. This role requires an IT professional, who has a wide variety of hands-on experience.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has experience or appropriate qualification that shows a strong understanding of all the support and management applicable to the role as detailed in the job description.
- Is highly organised and can plan well - mitigating threats and maximising opportunities.
- Has excellent communication skills and can work closely with students, staff and stakeholders at all levels.
- Enjoys working as part of a team to ensure success for all.
- Is dynamic, innovative and self-motivated.
- Has a commitment to continuous learning.
