Lead Nuture Group Assistant job summary

Working with children who have a Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues can be extremely challenging but rewarding work. Clewer Green and Oakfield Frist Schools are looking for someone to work in our Nurture setting full time and lead the provision for 5 days a week. You will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons for small groups of 6 to 12 children to deliver their National Curriculum as well as support them to regulate. Working as a Nurture Teaching Assistant requires a holistic approach, focusing on the whole child, academic development is only possible when you address the primary need first.

You will work with the schools' Inclusion Team, helping pupils find strategies to self-regulate and support them with attachment issues. These opportunities will suit Teaching Assistants who have a passion and natural ability to engage hard to reach pupils and those with strong classroom presence. You will engage the children within the school in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, supporting them in learning to help them reach their full potential.

You will also have excellent communication skills in order to promote a whole school ethos and culture where all staff support children to develop tools and techniques to remove their barriers to learning, to become the best possible version of themselves.
