Stationers' Crown Woods Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Practitioner - Design & Technology to join our established and successful team from September 2024. Design & Technology at SCWA is exceptionally popular. We offer a variety of courses that equip students with practical skills and innovative thinking. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the design and technology curriculum across the academy. This position is ideal for an innovative and dedicated educator who is committed to developing comprehensive educational strategies that support positive outcomes and foster a supportive, inclusive school culture.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Demonstrated expertise in design and technology education.
- Experience teaching product design and using CAD/CAM systems is preferable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with students, staff, and parents.
- Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives and manage change effectively.
- A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students in urban educational environments.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for educational excellence.
This is a permanent opportunity offering leadership scale commensurate with experience.
