What skills and experience we're looking for

Ready to make a real impact in Humanities? At Leigh Academy Ebbsfleet, we’re seeking a passionate Lead Practitioner - Humanities to elevate our Humanities department and inspire the next generation with a real focus on RE, PSHE and Citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons that engage and challenge students across various key stages and subjects.

  • Lead curriculum development and share best practices to improve teaching across the Humanities department.

  • Use data and innovative approaches to improve student outcomes in Humanities.

  • Provide leadership and support to colleagues, helping them to grow in their teaching practice.

  • Work with the senior leadership team to lead on aspects of whole school improvement with the Teaching & Learning Team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with expertise in one or more Humanities subjects (e.g.,RE, PSHE and Citizenship).

  • A strong track record of improving teaching and learning.

  • A collaborative leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
