Lionheart school is a pupil referral unit that supports some of the most vulnerable young people on the island. An exciting opportunity now exists for a Medical Lead Practitioner with a Current Clinical Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)to be part of our Senior Leadership team and to be responsible for managing the following areas:
- Represent Lionheart school at medical reviews/professional meetings
- Review of all EHCPs
- Support the SENco with regards to medical education provision and adjustments
- Work with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies as necessary to support learners effectively through their time at Lionheart school.
- Develop effective intervention programmes
- To lead on the production and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures.
Lionheart school provides a stimulating and nurturing environment for a range of students who for a variety of reasons are unable to attend mainstream schools. This could be due to medical needs, being emotionally vulnerable or having social and emotional difficulties.
The school aims to be a Trauma Informed and Therapeutic centre of excellence working with children their parents and home schools.
