Lead Practitioner job summary

We are looking for an exceptional teacher to join us in January as a maternity cover while our Lead Practitioner takes maternity leave. You will work with our Head of Science to continue to advance the department, striving to achieve rapid progress and attain the high academic expectations of our school. The role sits within our Extended Leadership Team and therefore offers the opportunity for career development through additional whole school responsibility and involvement.

Teaching Science from Years 7 to 13, you will be an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher, able to lead with assurance and provide clarity on teaching, pedagogy and innovation within Science. You will be a passionate individual, strongly motivated to make yourself an active part of this diverse community.

If you are a qualified teacher who possesses excellent leadership and coaching skills gained in a management role (e.g., as a Deputy Head of Department), and have experience of teaching Chemistry to A level and able to teach Biology to KS4, we would love to hear from you.
