Lead Practitioner of Literacy job summary
The Role
As Lead Practitioner of Literacy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experience across the English Department and beyond. You will:
Work with the Head of English to drive outstanding teaching and learning in Literacy.
Lead on intervention strategies to maximise student achievement.
Support and develop colleagues through coaching, CPD, and resource development.
Inspire students to achieve their very best, raising aspirations and removing barriers to learning.
Contribute to whole-school priorities, making a meaningful impact across the curriculum.
About You
We are looking for a passionate educator with:
A high-quality degree in Literacy/English and QTS/QTLS.
A proven track record of innovative and successful teaching.
The ability to inspire students and colleagues alike through exceptional classroom practice.
Strong leadership skills and a commitment to professional growth.
A genuine belief in the potential of every young person.
