Working collaboratively with the Head of Department, you will play a key role in monitoring teaching and learning, using student performance data intelligently to inform practice, plan targeted interventions and ensure that every learner is supported to reach their full potential. You will lead on numeracy interventions and Functional Skills, evaluating impact and adapting provision to secure strong outcomes.

Hodgson Academy is a mixed comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 16. We provide a first rate, all-round education for children of all abilities.
The academy is a vibrant and exciting learning environment. Students, after all, need to be happy to be successful. The academy’s ethos is friendly, positive and well disciplined. We have high expectations for every single student here, to ensure they strive to achieve to the very best of their ability.
Each individual is appropriately supported and challenged throughout their time here. Examination results are consistently amongst the highest in Lancashire and compare extremely well nationally.
The vast majority of Hodgson students go into further education at 16 and large numbers enter higher education at 18. There’s an exceptionally wide range of extra-curricular activities to complement learning.
All students are encouraged to participate in some form of our extended provision – entitled the Hodgson Experience – to aid personal growth.
