This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead and coordinate SEND provision across multiple settings, ensuring outstanding support for students with additional needs. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead SENDCo across our community of 4 schools which will allow you to carry out the duties as the designated SENDCo in one of the academies alongside supporting the other 3 academies in our community. In addition, the academy that you will be based at will also have a dedicated full time Assistant SENDCo to enable you to successfully carry out your strategic duties. You will spend 2 full days a week at your academy base, which could be Outwood Academy City (Sheffield), Outwood Academy Kirkby (Nottinghamshire), Outwood Academy Portland (Nottinghamshire) or Outwood Academy Valley (Nottinghamshire). This will be determined by agreement between you and the interview panel however it’s important your preference is clearly noted on your application form. The other 3 days during the week will be spent in the other 3 community schools which are not your base school.

As the Lead SENDCo across four academies, you will play a strategic role in shaping and implementing a unified approach to SEND provision, ensuring consistency and excellence across all schools. You will work closely with academy principals, SENCOs and support staff to develop and deliver high-quality inclusive practices, while also providing expert guidance on interventions, funding applications, and compliance with statutory requirements. By fostering collaboration among the academies, you will create an integrated support network, enhancing the educational experience and outcomes for all students with additional needs.

As a Regional SENDCo Lead, you'll be the driving force behind our commitment to outstanding SEND provision across our school community. You will not only lead the crucial SENDCo duties within your own designated school but also play a vital, high-impact role in mentoring and overseeing other SENDCo within the community, ensuring the highest quality of inclusive practice for every student with SEND.

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where you will:
