The Academy

Oasis Academy Brislington is part of the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi-academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools into community hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.

This is an exciting time to join us at Oasis Brislington, under the leadership of newly appointed Principal. We are a large and oversubscribed secondary academy with 1,360 students on roll. The academy was inspected by OFSTED in October 2021 and was categorised as a ‘Good’ school by the inspection team.

We are an inclusive 11-16 community whose aim is to ensure 'Excellence as Standard' in everything we do. We want our students to become the very best version of themselves; our vision is to equip them with the confidence, knowledge and skills to stand as "first among equals". We are incredibly proud of our students and the wonderful people we see them blossom into throughout their time with us.

What we can offer you:

• A supportive network and family of staff in a motivating working environment

• Fantastic community of children, parents and carers who deserve the best

• Genuine opportunity to make a difference where it is needed

• Opportunities for training and development internally and externally

• Generous local government pension scheme

• The opportunity to further your career within the Trust and region.

• Access to Eye Care vouchers and a national Cycle to Work scheme.

• Access to Health Shield Cash Plan which can include 24/7 access to a GP, assistance with the cost and access to dental treatment, eye-care, physiotherapy, and chiropody.

• Support to balance your work/life/caring responsibilities via our Time Off Work Policy, Menopause Policy, and Flexible Working.

• Trust wide recognition of the challenges to mental health, facing both staff and students, and the support of our National Mental Health Team which is staffed by professionally qualified Mental Health Nurses.

• Confidential Counselling services for you and those that live with you, should times get tough.
