Salary: OCL Grade 5 SCP 13 - 17 (£29,064 - £31,022) pro-rata, term-time only

Role: Part-Time at 29.67 hours per week over 5 days

The role:
- To work collaboratively with the Academy leadership team to improve outcomes, inclusion and equity for students with EAL and Global Majority students.
- Support colleagues to develop their knowledge of the linguistic, cultural and religious backgrounds of students with EAL and their families and the social and political factors which affect their lives.
- Work collaboratively with the literacy lead on the development of EAL focused strategies to be used across the curriculum and on developing a range of ‘best practice’ methods to deliver targeted research-driven curriculum support.
- Lead development links with the community to ensure that parents/carers of students with EAL and of Global Majority feel included in academy life and have accessible pathways of communication with the academy.
- To work collaboratively with other academies across the trust to share ‘best practice’ and advise on strategies to support students with EAL and of global majority.
- Team Leader for EAL interventions and to provide a base for interventions and pastoral care for EAL and Global Majority students.
- Lead the MFL faculty on EAL curriculum development through providing Subject Improvement sessions

The academy was inspected by OFSTED in October 2021 and was categorised as a ‘Good’ school by the inspection team.
