What skills and experience we're looking for

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a

partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint an individual who is a creative, flexible and enthusiastic teacher

with the ability to step up to the role of Lead Teacher, 2nd in Department to join our growing school.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to join us as 2nd in Department for Business and Computing.

You’ll support the Subject Leader, currently seconded to the Assistant Headteacher role and play a key part in shaping

the future of our growing department. Ideally, you’ll have at least two years of teaching experience and be confident

delivering ICT and/or Business at Key Stage 5 or keen to develop in that area.

The department is a vibrant and well-resourced department with a clear progression of learning across all key stages.

At Key Stage 3, students follow a structured computing curriculum. At Key Stage 4, we deliver OCR i-Media, and at Key

Stage 5, students study BTEC Level 3 IT and BTEC Level 3 Business. The department benefits from five dedicated IT

suites with high-spec computers, alongside three additional suites shared across the school.

We are looking for someone who is collaborative, committed to raising standards and able to deliver engaging,

inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. In return, you’ll join a supportive team, have access to outstanding

facilities and be part of a school that values ambition, creativity and professional growth.

If you have a passion for excellence and share our vision, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful

and progressive Trust, which is committed to ensuring learning is at the heart of all we do.

If you want to discuss this role, please contact Mrs Peach, by emailing headteacherpa@phs.jtmat.co.uk or telephoning

01283 247900. Our Headteacher Mr McArthur, is always available to show prospective candidates around our school.

forms will be submitted for shortlisting. CVs will not be accepted.
