Lead Teacher of Mathematics job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, and talented Lead Teacher of Mathematics to take a leading role in our friendly and talented Maths department. You will lead on teaching and learning. The successful applicant will be an excellent practitioner, with a love for teaching and learning and willing and able to help other staff develop their practice. The department has 7 specialist mathematics rooms with excellent resources and facilities.
The main purpose of the role is:
• Provide a creative and differentiated curriculum for students in the designated curriculum area as appropriate.
• To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and tutor.
• Lead on the best practice for intervention to maximise student progress
• To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
• To contribute to raising the standards of student attainment
• To play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its distinctive mission and ethos and to encourage staff and students to follow this example.
