What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a primary teaching background, ideally with experience in SEND or nurture-based approaches
  • Can confidently and effectively teach phonics to students with significant gaps in reading
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to removing barriers to learning
  • Can deliver a broad and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of learners significantly below age-related expectations
  • Has the ambition and drive to develop into a future SEND leader
  • Is nurturing, resilient, and committed to making a real difference in young people's lives

What the school offers its staff

The successful candidate will be enrolled in the Ted Wragg Trust Future SENDCO programme and will have the opportunity to complete the National SENDCO qualification (if desired), fully supported by the school.

This role is suitable for an ambitious ECT who is passionate about SEND and ready to take on a highly rewarding and developmental opportunity, as well as experienced teachers looking to progress into SEND leadership.
