We are a large junior academy, with a committed staff team, serving a wonderfully diverse community in Peterborough. The academy, last inspected in June 25, was judged as a good school in all areas of the Ofsted framework. The report describes Dogsthorpe as “a highly inclusive school,” where staff know pupils well and adapt teaching to ensure everyone can access learning alongside their peers. The Dogsthorpe Junior Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is a junior academy situated in a small community in the north of Peterborough. It is led by the Principal, Julie Cranke, who aims to ensure that it delivers an exciting, innovative and creative curriculum that meets the needs of the pupils. All staff work hard to ensure that every pupil is supported and nurtured, helping them to develop the confidence and skills needed for the years ahead. In addition to the formal curriculum, pupils are also provided with a range of opportunities to follow their own interests and carry out individualised learning programmes.
