Learning Mentor job summary

You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.

Working hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Friday - 8.30am to 4.00pm

Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to join our team. As a Learning Mentor you will work collaboratively with the Year Leadership Team (Year Lead and Year Assistant Principal) to identify and remove barriers to learning for students, ensuring all pupils can access education effectively and achieve their full potential. You will provide targeted support to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioural challenges that impact their learning journey.

Job requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above
  • Numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to Adult Basic Skills Level 2
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs or those facing barriers to learning
  • Ability to devise, implement, and monitor individual action plans
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
