Contract Type: 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 teacher training days

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Mentor to join our dedicated Sixth Form team.
Role Overview:
As a Learning Mentor, you will provide vital support to our Sixth Form students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build their confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to deliver tailored mentoring, ensuring that each student has the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group mentoring sessions to support students with their academic and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to identify students who may need additional support, and assist in creating tailored interventions.
- Help students develop effective study habits, time management, and exam preparation skills.
- Foster a positive and motivating environment where students feel empowered to achieve their best.
- Act as a point of contact for students, offering advice, guidance, and support on a range of issues, including pastoral care and well-being.
- Monitor and track student progress, and provide regular feedback to parents and school leadership.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a motivated, empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting young people to succeed. The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or mentoring setting.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
