Learning Resource Centre Manager and Careers Assistant job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic member of staff to manage our Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and become part of our Careers Team at The Beacon School. This role represents a great opportunity to work within a stimulating environment to support students and staff to access the tools and resources they need to succeed alongside our excellent teams in the English and Careers Departments.
Your opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated individual to take the lead in managing and maintaining our Learning Resource Centre, creating an inspiring environment that supports the wider curriculum and enhances students’ learning. You will also play a key part in shaping students’ futures by designing, organising, and promoting a structured programme of careers events and activities for Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to explore opportunities and make informed decisions about their next steps.
What we are looking for
- Good understanding the role and function of a Learning Resource Centre
- Evidence of dealing with young people
- Good written and communication skills
- Knowledge of the education sector
- Strong problem solving skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft office

The Details
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Specialist Point 1 - 16 £26,272 - £29,894 FTE
Actual Salary: £15,840.47 - £18,024.32
Hours: 24 hours per week - 41 weeks per year (Term Time + 2 weeks)
Contract Type: Permanent and Part-time
Closing Date: Monday 29th September at 9.30am
