Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are excited to be recruiting for the post of Learning Support Assistant and are looking for someone who is unapologetically passionate about supporting students, and who wants to join a school community which values the wellbeing of its staff and invests in professional development.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, empathetic and suitably experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our established, friendly and very successful team. The post is permanent and you will be required to support across the age and ability range through Years 7 to 11. The working pattern is 8.30am to 4.00pm, term time and training days, although part time may be considered.

Having achieved a 2022 Ofsted grading of ‘good’ overall, with personal development, leadership and management being recognised as ‘outstanding,’ we are determined not to be complacent and want to achieve even more for our students and staff. Our motto is ‘Engaging Minds, Nurturing Success and Inspiring Futures,’ and the school seeks to achieve this in many different ways.

Our February 2022 Ofsted report begins with the following paragraph: “Pupils are proud of their school. They enthuse about it to their parents, who know that they feel safe and happy. Pupils have many subjects to choose from, so everyone gets a chance to shine. They know that leaders have very high expectations of what they can achieve.”

We were delighted that our 2023 GCSE results confirmed we are in the top 2% of schools in the country for progress of pupils between ages 11 and 16, and that our 2024 GCSE results were also very strong. .

What can we offer you?

Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders

Excellent teaching resources

Robust behaviour system

A range of staff benefits including a cash health plan and access to a cycle to work scheme
