Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey within an educational community that values diversity, encourages collaboration, and celebrates excellence? We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our academy.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
Pay range: SCP 9 - 17 £22,092.75 - £25,303.89 (FTE: £25,119.00 - £28,770.00)
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSEs grade 5-9 or equivalent in Maths and English
- Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications or experience
- Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range
- Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
