Learning Support Assistant - 32.5 PW job summary

Halstow is a two-form entry school in Greenwich for children aged 5-11. Our unique partnership within The Compass Partnership pf Schools,, provides immense opportunities to develop the quality of provision and outcomes as well as the sharing of good practice. We are a research engaged community and are constantly seeking new and innovative ways of developing teaching for learning.

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. We provide a safe and healthy environment for our children and you will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and the Special Educational Needs Leader. You may also be involved in providing intimate care, managing challenging behaviour and actively participating in physical activities such as PE.

Hours will be Monday through to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm, with a daily 30 minute unpaid break, term time only

Part time hours can be considered, hours can be negotiated (please state this in your supporting statement if you are looking for a part time position)

Halstow is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils attending the school and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As the duties of this post involve regular contact with children, any offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon an Enhanced Disclosure being obtained via Disclosure and Barring Service.
