Learning Support Assistant job summary
We are looking for caring, nurturing (term time only) Learning Support Assistants who are committed to supporting children's learning both in the classroom as well as at breaktimes and lunchtime.
Our ideal candidates will have experience in working with young children. Also to have experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADD/ADHD or dyslexia in a school setting would be desirable but is not essential. .
You will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be an effective team member and be able to use your own initiative.
You must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of the school however, you do not have to be a practicing Christian.

Hours are 8.30am until 3.25pm (30 minutes unpaid breaks), Term time only plus INSET days
Salary – £22,599 FTE, Actual pro rata salary for 20 hours per week is £10,740.

Ashley is a large primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 (Reception to Year 6). Since September 2021, we have had three classes in each year group, with 630 pupils in the school. We benefit from a huge site which includes a large playing field and a forest school area, where children experience outdoor learning such as gardening, bee-keeping and scientific study.
