Learning Support Assistant job summary

Do you have a passion for working with children?

We are seeking an inspirational Teaching Assistant and with vision and high expectations for learning to work across our school, within a whole class setting and on an individual basis. The position may entail providing a child with 1:1 support and will include the supervision of children on the playground during playtimes and lunchbreaks.

A degree of flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the children and the school.

Experience working with children, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and a strong commitment to teamwork are essential.

Experience working with children with special needs would be an advantage.

Successful candidates will also be health checked and references will be requested before appointment, the post is fixed term for one year, and is subject to a satisfactory probation period.

Working hours are 08:30 - 16:00 with a 30 minute lunch break: 35 hours per week 39 weeks per year - term time plus 5 inset days.

The Interview process will include a short observation of you working with a small group of our children.
