What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work across our Year 3 classes and, who can:
- work under the supervision of teaching staff to undertake care and support programmes for pupils
- support individuals or a small group with learning tasks
- assist pupils in participating fully in school life
- support learning of targeted pupils within the class
- carry out Maths and English interventions
- carry out speech and language programs
- Undertake record keeping tasks
- Create learning resources
- Carry out any reasonable task at the direction of the teacher
As part of the team, staff may be asked to support children in any year group with a variety of needs if required. This may include some elements of personal care.

Yardley Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
Yardley Primary School is a 2 form entry community school situated on the edge of Chingford in Waltham Forest with a long proven record of academic success.
As a school we aim to provide a safe, stimulating and inspirational environment for children to learn and thrive academically, socially, physically and emotionally. We teach a broad and balanced curriculum which enables our pupils to become literate and numerate with high levels of spoken, investigative and problem solving skills, together with a balanced view of the World.

This position is 5 days a week, 16 hours a week. NJC Scale point 4 (Outer London) term time only. Preferably 8:45am to 11.55am but there may be some flexibility on the exact times)
