Learning Support Assistant job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a committed and conscientious individual who would like to contribute to the success of our school to join our team of brilliant Learning Support Assistants. The successful candidates will provide in-class support or work with small groups of students with Special Educational Needs to help overcome barriers to learning and build confidence, competence and independence. This is an entry level role with opportunities to develop within the role, and to progress internally when opportunities arise. School based experience is desirable, but not essential.
The hours are 31 per week, 8.35am to 3.10pm, Monday to Friday (finish at 4.00pm on Wednesday), working term time plus one week, 39 weeks per year.

- has good numeracy, literacy and IT skills
- is able to communicate effectively and relate well with students and staff
- is able to work constructively as part of a team and has an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- is able to encourage students to learn and inspire a strong work ethic
- it able to manage students behaviour and challenge under performance
