Thornhill Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and create an inclusive, supportive environment that enables every pupil - particularly those with SEND - to achieve their full potential.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide high quality support to enhance teaching and learning for pupils with SEND
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Support pupils with SEND, helping remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes
- Deliver targeted interventions and adapted learning strategies
- Contribute to pupil assessments and progress reviews
- Work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies
Previous experience working with pupils with autism who are non-verbal is desirable.
