Thornhill Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and create an inclusive, supportive environment that enables every pupil - particularly those with SEND - to achieve their full potential.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide high quality support to enhance teaching and learning for pupils with SEND
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Support pupils with SEND, helping remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes
  • Deliver targeted interventions and adapted learning strategies
  • Contribute to pupil assessments and progress reviews
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies

Previous experience working with pupils with autism who are non-verbal is desirable.
