Learning Support Assistant - ARP (ASD Provision)

Permanent role

The successful applicant will be required to work within our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) and when required, support pupils in the mainstream school.


- To ensure these pupils receive the best possible provision to assist their needs, we are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:

- Has knowledge and understanding of ASD and other conditions associated with this diagnosis.

- Can support ASD pupils within mainstream lessons.

- Ability to liaise with staff across the Academy to ensure inclusion of pupils with ASD & SEND.

- Has a calm, caring but firm manner.

- Is flexible with regard to working practices and timings.

- Can undertake educational tasks and attend to the social and personal needs of pupils with ASD, under the guidance of the ASD Lead Teacher.

- Can work with individuals and small groups in order to support the learning and development of pupils with ASD and a variety of SEND needs.

Hours: 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum (Term time + 12 hours to be worked on inset days and twilights in term time).

Salary: Level 2A scale 3 - 4 (£12.85 - £13.05 per hour depending on experience).

Qualifications: Level 2/ NNEB/ BTEC or equivalent childcare qualification preferred. GCSE Maths and English at grades A-C
