Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated individual who is ready to make a real difference in the lives of our students. The ideal candidate will support teachers in adapting lessons, nurture student independence, and contribute to a caring, inclusive learning environment. Be part of a passionate team fostering growth, inclusion, and success for all learners. This role will be appointed on a fixed term basis until July 2026, when this role will be reviewed for the next academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering and evaluating learning programs, adapting materials to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support for students, including physical, emotional, and educational assistance.
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, supporting pupils’ well-being and fostering their independence.
  • Undertake personal care routines, if required, and contribute to activity planning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills (e.g., GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
  • Enthusiasm, good listening skills, and an ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic IT skills and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

Training will be provided, so prior experience is not essential, however an interest in 'Bringing out the Best' in every student/pupil in their learning outcomes.
