Learning Support Assistant job summary
FTC until 31/8/2026 for 3 days per week
We are looking for practitioners who have the passion and adaptability to ensure effective support within whole-class, small-groups and one-to-one environments.
The post would include providing effective support for pupils as directed by the class teacher as well as providing small-group and one-to-one interventions for 3 days per week. Providing support to pupils with a range of special educational needs including those with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) is a key element of the role. Your line manage is the SENDCo and will work closely with you to support your professional development, as well as ensuring the consistency and high quality of the support you are providing.
We are an all-through school, from 3-16, and look for individuals who are enthusiastic about teaching cross-phase. Applications are also therefore welcomed from both Primary practitioners with an interest in developing into Secondary, and vice versa.
Education South West is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post. This includes checks with past employers, an online check of publicly available information, including social media, and an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service
