Feeding Mind, Body and Soul


We require a Temporary Learning Support Assistant to:- 

  • Assist in supporting pupils in the classroom in collaboration with the class teacher. 
  • Provide support for individual pupils or small groups under the guidance of the teacher. 
  • Support the preparation of learning resources and displays of pupils’ work, and carry out classroom administrative tasks such as record keeping, filing, and photocopying as required. 
  • Contribute to the monitoring and annual review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and associated documentation. 
  • Support the school in delivering a high-quality education for pupils with communication and interaction needs. 
  • Promote and support pupils’ personal, social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. 
  • Supervise and support pupils at all times, ensuring their safety and full access to learning opportunities. 
  • Build, encourage, and maintain positive relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model and responding appropriately to individual needs. 
  • Work collaboratively with all members of staff to support pupils across the school. Help to maintain the classroom and wider school environment. 
  • Contribute to the smooth and effective running of the school to ensure pupils’ needs are met. 
  • Promote positive values, attitudes, and behaviour, managing conflicts and incidents in line with school policies and procedures. 
  • Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and continuing professional development (CPD) sessions as required. 
  • Accompany pupils on educational visits and assist with playground and lunchtime duties when needed. 
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the Headteacher.
