Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will join our friendly and experienced team. You will support our pupils and staff in raising standards and achievements for all our vulnerable pupils including those with SEND; and those for who English is an additional language (EAL).

Successful candidates should be confident and caring with good interpersonal skills and experience. The ability to form positive relationships with young people and to approach all tasks with patience and good humour is essential.

Contract: Permanent

Start: January 2026

Grade/Scale: H3, SCP3-5

Salary: Full time = £25,525 - £25914 inclusive of £729 fringe allowance pa

Actual: £19,822 - £20,128 actual salary paid equally over 12 months

Hours: Part Time - 32.5 hours per week

Times: 8:10am - 3:10pm Monday - Friday (job-share considered)

Weeks: Term time only plus insets (39 weeks)

Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks paid annual leave - to be taken during school holiday periods
