We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work in the Special Educational Needs department and join our team of practitioners. The Role
Support of identified students in mainstream classes will be a large part of the role, including working with students with ASD, learning and behavioural issues, speech and language difficulties, as well as emotional and social difficulties. The role will also involve some 1:1 and small group work. Applicants need to be resourceful, adaptable, physically fit, able to show initiative, ready to learn new skills, quick-thinking, calm under pressure, resilient, determined and caring.
Experience or qualifications in working with pupils with SEN is desirable but not essential as further training will be provided. A minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths is essential.
