We are a small, friendly Church of England Primary School, which is part of the Durham and Newcastle Diocesan Learning Trust.
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for 15 hours per week, to work with a child in Nursery with special educational needs, supporting the teacher with their development, education and intimate care throughout the school day (including lunchtime supervision).
The post is temporary, linked to Top Up funding and will continue whilst the child attends our setting and funding remains in place.
Start Date: Monday 10th March 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful candidate:
will hold a teaching assistant or childcare qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
can take direction from experienced colleagues, while at the same time taking initiative and working independently
has experience of working with Nursery/Primary aged pupils
has experience of or interest in working with children with special educational needs
has experience of delivering relevant interventions/support (see job specification)
