Learning Support Assistant (inclusive of MDA role) job summary

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Temporary (with a view to be made permanent)

Scale: 3.4 - 3.5

Actual Salary: £10,648

Hours: 18.45 hrs per week - Tues / Thurs / Fri

(Tues & Thurs 8.15am - 3.15pm / Fri 8.15am - 2.30pm

FTE: 42.28% (38 weeks per year)

Job Purpose:

The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is one member of a team of professionals that will include teachers and other teaching assistants. The team works together to care for and educate the pupils in the school. The LSA makes a specific contribution to their specific subject area and / or curriculum contribution to the school teaching and learning programme. This also incorporates a Midday Assistant role where you will take care and control of all the children on the school premises during the lunch break between the morning and afternoon teaching sessions.

You will:
