Learning Support Assistant job summary

Langenhoe Community Primary School is looking to appoint a new teaching assistant to join our friendly dedicated team, to support our pupils in a variety of ways.

1 morning (4.5hrs) per week (8.45am to1.30pm, term time only + inset days on a morning to be agreed. This role includes 30 minutes (12.00pm - 1.30pm) lunchtime set up and clear up and of lunchtime supervision. You will have a 15 minute unpaid morning break.

This is a fixed term contract until August 2025 in the first instance but there may be the possibility of a further extension.

The successful applicants will:

Be passionate about supporting children's learning, social and emotional needs

Be resilient and have a positive nature

Be able to enthuse and motivate pupils

Be a team player

Demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times

Have experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting

Have good personal numeracy and literacy (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English)
