Grade 3: £26,428-£26,847 per annum (pro rata)
Actual starting salary: £20,735.41 - £21,064.16 per annum (depending on experience)

Notre Dame High School is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs, helping them to fully access learning and thrive within a caring, inclusive environment rooted in Gospel values.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide in-class support to students, working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning and promote engagement
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, social skills and emotional regulation
  • Support students with a range of needs, including those requiring personal care and mobility assistance
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and dignity for all learners
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, pastoral teams, teachers, and external professionals
  • Contribute to monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records

This role may include supporting students with physical disabilities, including assisting with mobility, personal care, and implementing Individual Healthcare Plans and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).

  • Is organised and able to follow structured intervention programmes
  • Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners
  • Is willing to undertake training related to SEND, including moving and handling where required
