We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant with Level 3 childcare qualification

Key responsibilities:

  • Support students’ learning in the classroom under the direction of teaching staff
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
  • Assist with behaviour management and promote positive engagement
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Support students’ academic, social and emotional development

Pay range: NJC SCP 3 - 5 £19156.35 - 19764.35 (32.5 Hours, 39 weeks per year) Actual Salary

NJC SCP 3 - 5 £24,769.00 - £25,583.00 (37 hours, 52 weeks per year) FTE

Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Relevant TA, childcare or education qualification (desirable)
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students
  • Confidence supporting learning in and out of the classroom
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing
