Learning Support Assistant (LSA) job summary

We are looking for a highly skilled, dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Green Park Village Primary Academy . We continue to grow our school, this September opening our Nursery and having our first Year 6 cohort. You need to be committed to providing all of our children with exceptional learning opportunities in a caring environment, exuding high expectations for all, being committed to contributing fully to our team and having a pro-active and positive mindset.

You should be experienced in working with children and adapting and extending learning within a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Working with our Class Teachers, our SENDCo and and our Phase Leads, you will be responsible for providing excellent learning opportunities for all children. All of our LSAs work with children across our school and this will be a varied and flexible timetable across the day/ week of one to one support, individual and group interventions and supporting adaptive teaching strategies utilised in classrooms, You need to be prepared to work with children with a range of learning and development needs.

      Green Park Village Primary Academy is a new primary school built in a new housing development in Reading, Green Park Village, which opened in September 2020 in its permanent school building. In September 2023, the academy will have Reception to Year Three cohorts. The school will grow to be full two-form primary, with space to open a Nursery provision for pre-school children. The school serves a diverse community of families both local and from across Reading.
      The academy has a small, passionate and committed team, working hard together to take us to the next level in our journey towards exceptional futures for all of our children. There is no doubt about it, setting Green Park Village Primary Academy up on its next phase will take vision, dedication and hard work, but being part of that exciting and rare journey will be very rewarding to see the academy continue to take shape over the next few years.
